Belief in the Afterlife in Islam
The belief in the afterlife reflects the idea that a person will confront a reality beyond this worldly life. According to Islam, this world is merely a temporary place of trial, and true life begins in the abode of the Hereafter. The Qur’an reminds humanity that they were created from nothing and emphasizes that resurrection after death is equally within God’s power: “Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes, We are able even to proportion his fingertips” (Qiyamah, 75:3-4).
